  1. Does your office have a policy of no game-playing on their computers?  Do you
  2. know someone who plays games nevertheless?

  4. These are two versions of a joke program which makes it seems as though their
  5. game-playing is being reported to the company authorities!  Which one you use
  6. depends on the screen type or resolution the computer is.
  7.  
  8. It is easily modifiable to one person's name.  To do this, use the enclosed
  9. hex editor FED.EXE.  Do a search on the text string XXXX by doing a ALT-F,
  10. then entering XXXX as the string to search for.  Now type ALT-A to go into
  11. ASCII entry mode and type the person's name you're playing the joke on.
  12. You have as much space as there are X's.  Repeat this for the other occurance
  13. of XXXX, then exit and save the changes.

  15. When the program is run, the standard opening screen for Tetris is displayed,
  16. but a dialog box "Software Control Monitor" appears.  The person's name
  17. appears as the default name to enter.  Whether they click OK or Cancel, the
  18. program responds "<name> was logged attempting to run Tetris".  Clicking OK
  19. closes the program (without running Tetris).

  21. This was programmed for me by a friend in Visual Basic.  You need the Visual
  22. Basic runtime library VBRUN200.DLL to run these.
